Human Calculator Award Received

What is a human calculator?

A human calculator is showing outstanding mental math capabilities.

How I got the award?

Our head teacher Mr Drakes said anyone who worked out roughly how many minutes a premier league team plays for, gets the award. (38*90min=3420min) is how I worked out the calculation. After, me and some other pupils got the award in assembly because we were the only people who did the calculation and were committed.

Golden Bookmark Earned

In the first two blog posts, I said that our school Broadford Primary has trackers and we use the merits that we earn to complete them. Earlier today, I was able to get my golden bookmark and now I have only 6 more merits to go until I start my platinum. Currently, I am ahead of everyone in my school and hope to remain that way. Every time anyone gets a new tracker, they add five more merits spaces so since my gold had 30 spaces my platinum will probably have 35 spaces. I intend to finish my gold tracker by the end of this month so I will be able to start and even complete my star tracker by the end of this year.

Titanic Project Finished

At school, a group of people named : Tyler, Donavan, Junior and myself have just finished our Titanic project in which we made a similar model. Although it took up most of our time, we enjoyed doing it and had fun.Originally, I was the one who came up with the idea then asked them to join me since it was not a one man thing. Some of the parts we decided not to include because we lacked the material and agreed to make it simple. To add more detail, we included : one paper man, two toys and one paper dog to put inside our Titanic. Knowing it would not include every feature of the real Titanic, we still decided to make it and in the end added an iceberg with two life boats.
