This summer the Romford Recorder ran a competition for local youngsters, through which children would be able to show what the Olympic Games meant to them.
Hundreds of school children submitted designs, with the very best going through
to the final.
I was chosen for the
final... where I won 2nd prize - a £30 voucher for the Liberty Centre. A
weightlifter, diver and runner; these were just three of the Olympic athletes
that I managed to include in my poster.

My Art Makes Romford Recorder Final
My poster - which was inspired by the Olympic Games - has made
it through to the final of the Romford Recorder's competition! With its bright
colours, sporting images and imaginative use of London landmarks, it is easy to
see why it was chosen to be shortlisted. Have I managed to win a prize? I'll
find out soon! The winning entrants will win gift cards for the Liberty Centre
in Romford.

Paralympic Athletics On 4th September 2012
In our school for this term, everyone who had 100% attendance for the whole school term was put in a lucky bucket and my name was the first called out. The prizes were Olympic and Paralympic tickets. I was chosen for the Paralympic tickets. I feel very greatly to the school for giving me a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lastly I very much look forward to the event which is on the 4th of September 2012.

Royal Liberty Science Summer School
On the 23rd of July to the 27th I attended a Royal Liberty Science Summer School. On the last day we had to set up our stalls with the projects and information we did. Then in the late afternoon we got to show our parents, carers and the mayor despite getting certificates. On the second day we went to Colchester Zoo to see some very interesting animals including penguins and Meerkats. My partner was Robyn and we decided that our project would be a Lonkey: half Monkey and half Lion. We had to write its adaptations and its habitats. The most fun thing apart from our trip was making the Lonkey - who has a Monkey face, Lion main, Monkey tail, Lion body and a Lion's legs.

Gold Tracker Finished
Recently, I collected my gold bookmark however now I am a step further and have finally finished my gold tracker after weeks of anticipation. I have now started my platinum tracker and hope to finish it by the end of term - which is the 20th of July. Currently there are three people on their platinum trackers me, Alysson Kinata and Emanuel Pala. I am already five merits into my platinum which is a good start. There are 30 merit spaces for you to fill, just like the gold tracker had 30 merit spaces.
